Indie Game Studio
KO_OP is an artist run studio pumping out beautifully designed games. We’ll meet Samuel Boucher, their in-house art director talking about their critically acclaimed, super-mega smash hit GNOG! Joining him on-stage will be studio co-founder Saleem Dabbous, talking about the collaboration process and giving his artists the space they need to pursue personal creative projects, because who knows… that random idea may just blossom into PlayStation’s next high profile game!

Animation Studio
e.d. Films has put mtl’s indie animation studio scene on the map! In large part this is due to their handcrafted, hybrid 2.5D animation aesthetic developed by lead artist and co-founder, Daniel Gies. Daniel has done droves for the animation community with his online tutorials and character rigs. Now, he’s set his sights on revolutionizing the way we make things move –especially during the animatic phase– by driving animations using the keyframe data derived from real-time game engines like Unity… this seems too good to be true, so we’ve invited him to tell us all about it in person! As an added bonus, we’ll get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at ELEMENTED, their next masterpiece in the making which is also being developed as a case study to test their new plug-ins.
