vol. 02 — ép. 11
Simon Duhamel is a world-class DOP and photographer that constructs images floating between the realms of illustration and cinematographic marvels. He creates strong, instantly recognizable moments with his trademark aesthetic; moments that border introspection, identity and explore the sensation of feeling displaced. He often composites his images layer-by-layer, sometimes with a touch of CGI to achieve the results that are simply in a reality of their own.
He’ll be focusing on his personal projects, giving you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how he builds his stills and he’ll discuss what it takes to break into international markets… ever heard the term « small market syndrome » ? Let’s find out what that’s all about!
Jimmi Francoeur is a photographer turned director that lives to capture the unfiltered moment. His style feels raw and reactive, he moves with his characters, he thinks on his feet and in return, he captures moments that reflect both the nature and the environment he creates, making you feel like you’re part of the action.
He’ll be showcasing the commercial work he directed with hockey legend, P.K. Subban and capturing those highly sought after « natural moments » with celebrities like Coeur de Pirate (Béatrice Martin), Sophie Desmarais and Luc Picard!
In these episodes we’re learning how to capture the moment and your attention with the art of photography! Simon showcases how he composes his images layer by layer, while Jimmi is all about the rawness of the moment.
