vol. 02 — ép. 13
Vincent has made waves across the interwebs with his psychedelic animations, caught somewhere between a very welcome acid trip and a random episode of the Thunderbirds. Known for his satirical animation piece, Rob Ford’s Perfect Day, he’s gone on to collaborate with mega musical acts like the Dead Obies and Karim Ouellet and created projections throughout the Quartier des Spectacles… helping to make Montréal feel a little more colourful and kookie!
He creates nearly all of his work directly in after effects, which gives room for his characters and animated textures to really live in their worlds and guide his creative process into places he never expected.
Animation Director, Illustrator
Pierre Nicolas has a gift for exploring the absurdities of this world with a graphic and surreal style that ranges from kid friendly moments to NSFW content in two shakes of a pen! He has become the go-to illustrator and animator for the likes of Urbania and Vrak, lighting up these media outlets with his poetic twist.
He’ll be showcasing the process behind his rebranding of Vrak, his work with the National Film Board (NFB) and the many illustrative pieces that are probably hanging on your wall, or lounging on your coffee table!
In these episodes, we return to our animation and motion design roots with a fresh edition featuring two artists and their trippy-dippy styles! Vincent miraculously creates all of his motion assets directly in after effects, while Pierre-Nicolas is all about the frame-by-frame approach.
